Rep. Waxman Statement on EPA Tailpipe Standards

Ranking Member Henry A. Waxman released the following statement in response to EPA’s finalization of tailpipe standards for 2017 to 2025:

“The new standards are a huge win for American families. Consumers will save money on gasoline; we will become less dependent on foreign oil; and dangerous carbon pollution will be reduced. The oil companies may not like the new standards, but everyone else should.”
