Ranking Members Waxman and Eshoo Renew Request for Hearing on Spectrum Transactions
Today, Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Henry A. Waxman and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Ranking Member Anna G. Eshoo sent a letter to Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden regarding a letter sent on April 26, 2012 requesting a hearing on spectrum transactions.

Dear Chairman Upton and Chairman Walden:
Nearly two months ago, we wrote to you requesting a hearing on the proposed spectrum transaction and joint agreements involving Verizon, SpectrumCo (a partnership between Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and Bright House Networks), and Cox Communications. A copy of our letter is attached.
As the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) continue their review, we believe it’s important that Members of the Communications and Technology Subcommittee have an opportunity to hear from key stakeholders.
