House Considers Radio Spectrum Inventory & Caller ID Acts
Apr 14, 2010
Today, the House of Representatives considered two bills reported by the Committee on Energy and Commerce: H.R. 3125, the Radio Spectrum Inventory Act, and H.R. 1258, the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2010.
The Radio Spectrum Inventory Act, passed by a vote of 394 to 18, would require an inventory of radio spectrum bands managed by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the Federal Communications Commission. The Truth in Caller ID Act of 2010, passed by a voice vote, would amend the Communications Act of 1934 to prohibit manipulation of caller identification information.
