The Subcommittee on Health held a markup on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in 2123 Rayburn House Office Building. The Subcommittee considered the following:
- H.R. 1206, the Access to Professional Health Insurance Advisors Act of 2011;
- H.R. 6118, the Taking Essential Steps for Testing Act of 2012;
- H.R. 1063, the Strengthening Medicare and Repaying Taxpayers Act of 2011;
- H.R. 6163, the National Pediatric Research Network Act of 2012;
- H.R. 4124, the Veteran Emergency Medical Technician Support Act of 2012; and,
- H.R. 733, the Pancreatic Cancer Research and Education Act of 2012.
The Subcommittee on Health held a markup on May 8, 2012 in Rayburn House Office Building. Members approved bipartisan legislation to reauthorize user fee programs for prescription drugs and medical devices, establish user fee programs for generic drugs and biosimilars, and reform FDA programs.
The Subcommittee on Health held a markup on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The markup covered H.R. 452, the “Medicare Decisions Accountability Act of 2011”.
The Subcommittee on Health reported H.R. 1173 to the Full Committee on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.
The Subcommittee on Health held a markup on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in 2123 Rayburn House Office Building on the following legislation:
- H.R. 2405, the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Reauthorization Act;
- H.R. 1254, the Synthetic Drug Control Act; and,
- H.R. 1852, the Children's Hospital GME Support Reauthorization Act.
The Subcommittee on Health held a markup on Thursday, May 12, 2011, in 2123 Rayburn House Office Building on H.R. 1683. For 45 years, the Medicaid program has worked as a lifeline to millions of people, providing health care to the lowest income and medically needy Americans, including families, children and the elderly. If the bill that was approved by the Republican Majority in this markup were to become law, it would slash the number of people that could look to Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program for their safety net.
On March 31, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. the Energy and Commerce Committee Subcommittee on Health held an open markup session to consider five pieces of legislation that would repeal mandatory spending created under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
The Subcommittee on Health held an open markup session on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in room 2123 Rayburn House Office Building to consider H.R. 358.
